Project Completed!

Looks nice! it could however use some rgb led has to be a spare gpio in that stack. You could code each level a different color or dance around or indicate mail waiting?!?

Mine all dangle by cat 5 ¡ they don¡¯t twinkle ¡?

Kelly,

Actually the pic doesn't quite do the color's justice - the illumination around the fan is really nice!
The Buck Converter Shelf has Green, Red Leds, The Quadra shelf COULD be lit up more - ummm :)
The QDX - just the boring Red - wait for next pic Yeah!

What shall we call this - "Pimp Your Quadra"?

sounds good!

You should be able to pop off the 4 rubber feet save them. Remove the bottom shell and ¡ it won¡¯t help the clean wire job. But you could flip/invert it so the ¡°guts are showing¡±?

thus, making the unit stand out a little more.?

put the feet on the bottom (former top) and bam!?

pimp your Quadra!?

Well, I could go 'QDX Naked' and with the awesome (low-noise-fan) that comes with this shelf-kit, get away with it!
However, this will undo all the cooling additions that I made inside the QDX box (leeching heat to the case with thermal tape and above with the heat sink/tape..
The other reason is that now I have finally tamed this little rig! I also want to pull it out of the 'cooling shelf' and use it standalone with a PC for POTA!

The shelf/fan kit was primarily for Raspberry Pi and has all the mounting hardware - in fact, it is an amazingly QUALITY kit!

The fan just blows me away - so quiet!
