cant find ardop executable

when trying to launch the ardop modem whether via the Pat menu or Pat http
it fails

2022/11/12 10:22:24 Starting HTTP service (http://0.0.0.0:8080)... 2022/11/12 15:42:53 ARDOP TNC initialization failed: dial tcp [::1]:8515: connect: connection refused
or

of course it is probably a config issue
but where are the executable supposed to be?

I snooped around and have not found them
is there something else to install?
the Vara modem fails as well

2022/11/12 15:56:00 Unable to establish connection to remote: couldn't connect to VARA command port: dial tcp 127.0.0.1:8300: connect: connection refused
must a be a hank of documentation I missed

FLdigi and WSJTX work very nicely
and getting it it onto the EMMC was super easy
what a great distro and a very nice little bit of kit!

any guidance?

The executable is supposed to be located at?/usr/local/bin/piardopc .

I'm going to need to take a closer look to see if this is compatible with the Inovato. #todo

Hi Dave
I looked all over in there for the ardop executables, with no success
i grabbed them from?
and placed them where the Pat menu was asking for
then I got errors of missing QT lib and libasound lib
which are right where they should be
I got into a weird disappearing serial port thing and reimaged the Quadra
still fighting that

sure do like things so far!
nifty little boxen these are

de k9wkj

I did see the source code go wonky possibly appears bad file copy or lost files on the origin the downloadable binary is ok

Found a backup till someone alerts the project dev

Morning Kelly??
thanks for the backup site
one thing I have noticed is the arm64 variants of things are quite scarce
I dont know how the arches cross in the world of SBCs

Dave, I found the executable right where you said they should be
?
so the Pat menu is looking in the wrong place
not hard to fix
if I get time today I will work it out
after i get my serial troubles solved

de k9wkj

Where would the file or info be modified?

/usr/local/bin/

I added this Pat Menu. I've gotten Packet to sort of work.
The Wl2k Jnos file I'm not sure where it would be hiding.
Flrig and Grid location not talking to pull in local Winlink Gateways

your on the right path Don
but you would still need to run the config tool? "pat config" to edit the file

I have not had a chance to that yet as I am just emerging from serial hell
had a USB to serial thingy go intermittent
so am building a whole new interface to use FLrig for CM-108 PTT
as i finally got WSJTX to speak FLrig

de k9wkj

I did pat configure right from the beginning
FLrig does talk to the radio. However, it does not talk to programs like JS8Call using FLrig FLrig. The audio (Pulse) has to be modified each time to show water fall Blue, otherwise it's black.

lost now

I notice a left-out Grid Location. I manually added it.

Don,
I have not messed with packet on this device yet
should it not be trying to use Direwolf??
as you would need a direwolf.conf setup up as the modem

I managed to get all my Xssh forwarding all fouled up
so am starting over from the top
while still building out my new fancy interface box

I only know Jason KM4ACK BAP and Dierwolf.conf is in /home/pi. I? see nothing like that.

I had to build ardop for my Arm64 Pinebook Pro and Pinephone (same binary) from source. As I recall, prebuilt binaries didn't work for me on those machines.

I can provide the binary that I built upon request. I have not tried it on my new Quadra HamPi system yet, but plan to do so. Currently, the problem with ardopc is it doesn't work correctly with new-ish Linux kernels. More than one thread on the subject can be found in the ardop groups.io
