Nellie appears to be in her teens or 20's at the time. The second photograph is one of Maria KILLEEN which was taken at the Beverage Studio in Marshalltown, IA and is dated 1882. Maria appears to be in her 20's or 30's at the time the photograph of her was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding these ladies and their families: Maria KILLEEN was b. 1854 in Dubuque Co., IA to parents Patrick KILLEEN (1830-1906) & Catherine or Katherine GILMORE (1830-1913). The couple had 10 children including, John; Maria; Edward; Michael; Thomas; Patrick Henry; Ellen; Katherine; Frank; and James L. KILLEEN all born between 1852 and 1875. Maria married Peter LOVELY (1844-1912) on 8 Jan 1894 in Arcadia, IA and she died 27 Mar 1921 in Carroll Co., IA and is buried in the Saint Johns Catholic Church Cemetery in Arcadia, IA. Her obituary listed surviving family members including, brother and sisters, Edward KILLEEN of Carroll, IA; John KILLEEN of Vail, IA; Michael, Thomas, Frank, and Patrick KILLEEN of West Side, IA; and Mrs. G. W. COX of Des Moines, IA; and Mrs. Jorn FARRELL, of St. Elmo, MN. Ellen “Nellie” G. KILLEEN was b. 14 Feb 1865 in Mosalem Township, IA to the same parents and married George W. COX (1854-1927) and they had four children including, Carl Vincent; Regina L.; Hellen or Helen Marie; and Catherine “Kitty” Gertrude COX, all born between 1894 and 1901. Nellie died 13 Jun 1954 in Des Moines, IA and is buried in the Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines, IA. I am hoping to return the photographs to this family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be. Thanks, Shelley

CREGER - ROBINSON Family Photograph
I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Eupheman CREGER which was taken at the Armstrong & Dillman Studio in St. Charles, MO. It appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Eupheman appearing to be about 1 year old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Eupheman and her family: Euphemia or Euphema Jane CREGER was b. 22 Sept 1882 in Ohio, IA to parents James Theodore CREGER (1858-1922) and Mary Alice SWEARINGEN (1859-1955). Euphemia was one of three children born to this couple including, Euphemia Jane; Mona Ellen; and Honora Amanda CREGER, all born between 1882 and 1898. Euphemia married James Wesley ROBINSON (1875-1920) on 19 Dec 1900 in Madison Co., IA and they had three children including a daughter, Mary Edith ROBINSON (1901-1993). Euphemia died in Oct 1966 in Des Moines, IA. I’m hoping to locate someone from the family so that this photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
