BROWN - SPUNANGLE Family Photograph
I have an old studio photograph identified as Carl BROWN taken on 13 Mar 1900 when he was 10 years old. The photograph was taken at the Acker Studio in Bedford, IA. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Carl and his family: Frank Carl BROWN was b. 20 Dec 1889 in Gravity, IA to parents Newton T. BROWN (1862-1937) and Maud or Maude TOLER (1868-1936) who were married 14 Mar 1889 in Taylor Co., IA. Carl was one of 7 children born to this couple including Frank Carl; Emma M.; Jess or Jessie Toler; Everett Eugene; Luella C.; Addie M.; and William N. BROWN all born between 1889 and 1908. Carl married Mary Hazel SPUNANGLE (b. 1893) on 11 May 1923 in Shenandoah, IA and Carl died 18 Oct 1979 in San Antonio, TX and is buried at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio. I am hoping to get this photograph to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be. Thanks, Shelley

LUNDQUIST Family Photograph
I have in my possession an old photograph that is identified as "Dave LUNDQUIST'S Dad". The photograph was taken in the 1880's or 1890's at the Saley & Harrison Studio in Essex, IA. I would guess that the man in the photograph is likely in his 30's at the time the photograph was taken. I believe that this is Carl Fredrick LUNDQUIST who was the father of David LUNDQUIST and based on limited research I have been able to gather the following information regarding this family: Carl Fredrick LUNDQUIST was b. 10 Jun 1859 and married Emma S. LUNDQUIST (b. 1869) and they had a son, David LUNDQUIST (1890-1953). Carl died 22 Dec 1911 and is buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Nyman, IA. His son David was b. 31 Mar 1890 in Omaha, NE, and married Agnes Elvira Birgitta HAMMARGREN (1903-1974) on 30 Aug 1928 in Essex, IA and they had two children, a son David Fredrick LUNDQUIST (1932-1998) and a daughter as well. David died 8 Feb 1953 and is also buried in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Nyman, IA. I am hoping to locate someone from this LUNDQUIST Family so that the photograph can be returned to their care. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

YOUNG Family Photograph
I have in my possession an old photograph identified as Mack E. M. YOUNG which was taken at the Frank Kirby Studio in Eldora, IA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Mack likely in his 20's at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Mack and his family: William McClelland or McClellan “Mack” YOUNG was b. 1 Sept 1864 in Sidney, IA to parents John C. YOUNG (b. 1820) and Eliza “Lida” Jane HANDLEY (1826-1886) who were married in Fremont Co., IA on 29 Dec 1862. Mack was one of three children born to this couple including Mary Agnes; William McClellan “Mack”; and Frank Stevens YOUNG, all born between 1863 and 1866. Mack’s mother was married two times previously and had four additional children including, Sarah Caroline; Mary Susan; and John Henry KELLISON, all born between 1845 and 1851, and then had another child, Isabella or Isabelle “Belle” EVANS (1859-1890). Mack married America ORR (1869-1958) and the couple had two children including Bessie Ann YOUNG BALDWIN (1899-1987) and Floyd McClelland YOUNG (1906-1950). Mack died 24 Dec 1948 in Shenandoah, IA and he is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah, IA. MAY Family Photograph
I've recovered an old photograph of a home identified as the Home of Mrs. Earl MAY in Shenandoah, IA. Because she is identified as Mrs. Earl MAY I am assuming that the photograph was taken after the death of her husband which occurred in 1946. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Mrs. MAY and her family: Gertrude Frances WELCH was b. 14 Sept 1892 in Shenandoah, IA to parents Edward Samuel WELCH (1869-1951) and Ida Ann BOYDSTON (1871-1931) who were married 24 Dec 1891 in Knox Co., IL. Gertrude was one of 12 children including Gertrude Frances; Nicholas A. “Red”; Richard; Thomas; John; James; Theodore; Arthur; Robert E.; Celstia or Celeta; Barret or Barrett Carter; and Wayne Nye WELCH from 1892 and 1906. Gertrude married Earl Ernest MAY (1888-1946) on 8 Jun 1916 in Page Co., IA and they had two children including Frances Lenore MAY RANKIN (1917-1996) and Edward Welch MAY (1919-1997). Gertrude died 9 Jul 1973 in Mercer, WI when her summer home caught fire on Echo Lake near Mercer. Gertrude is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah, IA. I am hoping to get the photograph back to family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be. Thanks, Shelley
