I've recovered an old photograph of a home identified as the Home of Mrs. Earl MAY in Shenandoah, IA.? Because she is identified as Mrs. Earl MAY I am assuming that the photograph was taken after the death of her husband which occurred in 1946.? Gertrude Frances WELCH was b. 14 Sept 1892 in Shenandoah, IA to parents Edward Samuel WELCH (1869-1951) and Ida Ann BOYDSTON (1871-1931) who were married 24 Dec 1891 in Knox Co., IL.? Gertrude was one of 12 children including Gertrude Frances; Nicholas A. ¡°Red¡±; Richard; Thomas; John; James; Theodore; Arthur; Robert E.; Celstia or Celeta; Barret or Barrett Carter; and Wayne Nye WELCH from 1892 and 1906. ??Gertrude married Earl Ernest MAY (1888-1946) on 8 Jun 1916 in Page Co., IA and they had two children including Frances Lenore MAY RANKIN (1917-1996) and Edward Welch MAY (1919-1997).?

Gertrude died 9 Jul 1973 in Mercer, WI when her summer home caught fire on Echo Lake near Mercer.? Gertrude is buried in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Shenandoah, IA.
