CREGER Family Photograph
I've "rescued" an old photograph identified as Eupheman CREGER which was taken at the Armstrong & Dillman Studio in St. Charles, MO. It appears to have been taken in the 1880's with Eupheman appearing to be about 1 year old at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Eupheman and her family: Euphemia or Euphema Jane CREGER was b. 22 Sept 1882 in Ohio, IA to parents James Theodore CREGER (1858-1922) and Mary Alice SWEARINGEN (1859-1955). Euphemia was one of three children born to this couple including, Euphemia Jane; Mona Ellen; and Honora Amanda CREGER, all born between 1882 and 1898. Euphemia married James Wesley ROBINSON (1875-1920) on 19 Dec 1900 in Madison Co., IA and they had three children including a daughter, Mary Edith ROBINSON (1901-1993). Euphemia died in Oct 1966 in Des Moines, IA. I’m hoping to locate someone from the family so that this photograph can be returned to their care. Researching Moore, Hogg, Hole and affiliated families
Jeremiah and Mary Zornes Moore migrated to Madison County with several adult children after the 1850 census. They were in Clayton County in 1850, previous to that they were in Carter County, Kentucky area. My husband descends from their son Martin and Emily Frances Hogg. Martin died after 1872 and by 1880 she is married to John Mills Hole. I would really like information on Martin, death date and burial place. Emily divorced John, took back Martin’s Moore surname and no mentions or records on her after John committed suicide :( So looking for information on her as well. Jeremiah and Mary went to Oregon with their two bachelor sons, John W. And Philip M. Moore. According to Philip’s Homestead file they arrived in 1865. Jeremiah and Mary were 86 and 81 when they arrived. Traveling the Oregon Trail was grueling for thousands half their age. They are reported to have died in 1878, according to lost family bible pages. It took me 17 years to find their final resting place, but still want death dates. I’ve went through known newspapers 5 times looking for a notification of their deaths. They and Philip died east of Sandy, Clackamas County, Oregon. I am in the planning stages of writing their story. Hope to fill in the needed information. A cousin of my husband’s , from Alaska has been to Madison County to try to find answers to my questions, non found. I hope to visit in the next years or two. William Hole, son of John Mills Hole and his first wife Jane Peckover, married his step sister, Mary Jane Moore. I would like information on Jane Peckover, death date and burial place. I know who her parents are etc. I have William’s information as well. Thank you for any information or direction for research. Debra Monsive In Oregon
