Ella Rahm LaChance was born 1895 to Alois and Mary Rahm in Burt, Iowa and the family farmed in Hebron, Kossuth Iowa before they moved to South Dakota in 1905. She maintained connections with her Kossuth County friends and relatives for the rest of her life. This photo is marked "Ella LaChance relatives and friends" in Ella's handwriting. Flossie Houseman was a friend that Ella corresponded with after she left Iowa with her Rahm family. I don't know the occasion or these names but since someone (not Ella) carefully noted them, I will list them here: Flossie Houseman, Eva Stenberg, Alva Houseman, Vaughn Goodrich, John Germann, Otto Germann, Harrold Houseman, Cornelious Stenberg, Elinor Ringstead, Martha Silvig, Charlotte Stenberg, Katie Germann, Leona Houseman, Etta Goodrich, Glen Houseman, Della Goodrich.
