BIERWIRTH - EGGERSS Family photograph
I've recovered an old photograph of Auguste Caroline BIERWIRTH which was taken on 25 April 1901 at the C. T. Pomeroy Studio in Kansas City, MO. Auguste's birthday is noted as 19 Feb 1898 in Green Bay, WI. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Auguste and her family: Augusta Carolyn BIERWIRTH was b. 19 Feb 1898 in Huron Bay, WI to parents Ernst Anton or Anson Gerhard BIERWIRTH (b. 1860) and Sophie Helene Ferdinandine Caroline or Karoline EGGERSS (1862 or 1863-1952 or 1958) who were married 10 Feb 1885 in Persia, IA. Augusta had two siblings including Georg or George Frederich “Fred” Carl BIERWIRTH (1890-1959) and Elsa Wilhelmina Augusta BIERWIRTH (1892-1984). Augusta was married three times, first to Percival “Percy” Charles EASON (1893-1968) on 28 Apr 1920 or 1 May 1920 in Kansas City, MO; second marriage was to Carl O. SCHUTTE (b. 1893) on 30 Jan 1948 in Sebastian, AR; and third on in 1965 in Seattle, WA though I don’t have his name. Some records also include Augusta using the last names of GUSHEL and HEULER suggesting that there may have been additional marriages or one of them could be the name of her third husband. Augusta died 4 Dec 1974 in Seattle, WA. I am hoping to locate someone from her family so that this beautiful old photograph can be returned to her family. If you are a member of this family or know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley

JOHNSON Family Photograph
I’ve recovered an old photograph of Miss Ora JOHNSON who was a schoolteacher in Dunlap and Walnut, IA. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900’s, likely before 1920 with Ora appearing to be in her 30’s at the time it was taken. A note indicates that she never married. Based on limited research I was able to gather the following information regarding Ora and her family: Ora E. JOHNSON was b. 21 Sept 1880 in Ashland, NE to parents Jacob JOHNSON (1841-1928) and Catherine DONNELLY (1844-1932). Ora was one of 5 children born to this couple including Anna Mary; Walter Benjamin; Frank Alfred; Adda May; and Ora E. JOHNSON all born between 1868 and 1880. Ora died 12 Oct 1966 in Woodbine, IA and is buried in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Dunlap, IA. I am hoping to return the photograph to her family and would appreciate you contacting me if you are a member of this family or know someone who might be. Thanks, Shelley

TUPPER Family Photograph
I've "rescued" an old photograph identified only as "Roy, Harry, Charles, and Edith", a beautiful old photograph of four children taken at the Lyon Studio in Woodbine, IA about 1895. The children appear to range in age from about 1-2 years to 7-8 years old. Based on limited research I have determined that this is the TUPPER Family, four children of Benson Samuel TUPPER and Julie Ann PLUM and I’ve gathered the following information regarding the family: Walter LeRoy “Roy” TUPPER was b. 13 May 1882 in Washington, IA to parents Benson Samuel TUPPER (1862-1929) and Anna or Ann Julie or Julia PLUM (1863-1943) who were married 16 Apr 1881 in Harrison Co., IA. The couple had five children including, Walter LeRoy; Earl Benjamin; Harry James; Charles Benson; and Edith Pearl or Plum TUPPER all born between 1882 and 1893. Roy married Bessie M. WARMAN (1884-1929) on 19 Mar 1905 in Logan, IA and they had a daughter, Nellie Lenora TUPPER (1906-1978). Roy died in 1951 in Boyer or Woodbine, IA and is buried in the Woodbine Cemetery in Woodbine, IA. Harry James TUPPER Sr. was b. 22 Jul 1887 in Minden, IA to the same parents and married Ethel Fae WATKINS (1887-1990) on 26 Feb 1908 in Woodbine, IA. The couple had 5 children including, Gwendolyn Cleo; Cloyce Watkins; Nevah or Neva Juanita; Harry James Jr.; and Keith Dwayne TUPPER, all born between 1909 and 1924. Harry died 29 May 1974 in Woodbine or Boyer, IA and is also buried in the Woodbine Cemetery. Charles Benson TUPPER was b. 30 Jan 1890 in Persia, IA to the same parents and married Grace Elizabeth VAN VLACK (1891-1987) in Cumberland, IA on 23 Jun 1915 and they had a daughter, Rachel TUPPER (1916-2008). Charles died Apr 1973 in Des Moines, IA and is buried in the Masonic Cemetery in Des Moines, IA. Edith Pearl or Plum TUPPER was b. 25 Mar 1893 in Iowa to the same parents and she died in Aug 1972 in Woodbine, IA. I am hoping to locate someone from this TUPPER Family so that the photograph can be returned to the care of family. If you are a member of this family, or you know someone who might be, please contact me. Thanks, Shelley
