Hello and the inevitable question

Hi to all. I am EI7CLB and have recently been experimenting with HamPi and Jason, KM4ACK's 'Build-a-Pi'. I have been waiting to install HamPC on the best computer I have. It has 8GB of RAM and a 2.7GHz octocore processor. It would be wonderful to try HamPC, and all it appears to offer, on this machine, which was gifted to me by my Brother - who I am still trying to persuade to get his ticket.?

I d'l'd the img and the img.xz that came with it. I am ready to go but I really will need a bit of help - 'Is there a guide?' - I suppose is the inevitable question. The machine is currently running Linux Mint. The 64GB card arrived in the post about 20 minutes ago. I SO want this to work. The best of days to you all. 73, Tryg

guide of sorts here?

Thanks Kelly, I am having a bit of trouble with my boot settings I think. F10 does not appear to 'save changes and exit' but it is probably another 'me' issue. Linux Mint has all I need for the moment but I would like to at least try HAMPC. I bought 64GB cards just for it and I am having no luck so far. I will persist over the coming days. 73, Tryg
