QRZ and Gigaparts have teamed up and made a big announcement late last week at the Huntsville HamFest. They offer?a FREE 5 watt entry level VHF-UHF handheld for every new licensee, up to 30 days after their successful exam. The radio (Explorer QRZ-1) is apparently made by TYT and it¡¯s also sold by Gigaparts for $60.
