开云体育Thanks. I have used HamPC for quite awhile (thanks Dave!) and was hoping this would be similar in operation and stability. 73 Jim KI7AY On 3/27/2023 7:14 AM, Herbert A. Davis

开云体育Thanks Pierre. I am going to install it and see how I like it. But if it works the same as HamPi, I KNOW it will be good. 73 Jim On 3/26/2023 9:04 PM, Pierre Martel

Hi Jim, HamPC runs on x86_64 laptops which include both Intel and AMD. The base OS is Xubuntu. 73, On Sun, Mar 26, 2023 at 9:46?PM Jim Darrough <jim@...> wrote: Hello Folks. --

开云体育I wrote the image to a USB drive. How do I install it on the Laptop hard drive? There does not seem to be an "install" script. Great job as always, Mr. Dave. 73 Jim On 3/27/2023 9:59 AM, Dave Slotter,

You can boot off a separate drive other than the internal drive. So, think USB flash drive, and then use BalenaEtcher to write the image to the internal hard drive. Just understand anything on the internal drive will be overwritten?by the HamPC image. Hope this helps. On Mon, Mar 27, 2023 at 11:49?AM Jim Darrough <jim@...> wrote:

开云体育Yay! ???? I booted from the USB stick (man, those Sandisk 128g type C
sticks get hot!). Downloaded Balena and the current HamPC version.
Ran Balena and flashed to the system drive (Wow! LOTS of warnings!). Works good. More testing later, but as always, Dave did a good
job. Thanks, Dave (want another QSL card?). 73 Jim KI7AY

SO download Balena while I am booted up on the USB drive, then flash the image to the hard drive in the laptop, is that right? -- 73 Jim,KI7AY la ciruela y cabeza de hueso en Panama |
