HamPC installed on Hard Drive
Hi Rob, One can copy the image over to the internal drive the same way they can to a USB flash drive... -Dave On Wed, Dec 21, 2022 at 6:13 PM Rob Potthoff N9RLP <rpotthoff@...> wrote: Ok it seems pointless to run HamPC from a VERY SLOW usb drive when it should run from the internal Hard Drive or SSD. --

Ok Figured it out, I used my USB to HD adapter and the system saw it as a USB drive, used etcher to put it on the drive and had no issues with that.
I did have to unzip the file and get to the raw img file as Etcher did not like it as a compressed file, it would get to 2 or 3% and it would say it was completed. It took about an Hour to get it on the Drive as it was USB 2.0 once done it booted right up without any issues at all WSJTX works great but found that I could not use flrig as it would come up with a warning that I need to click on "initialize" and was left with one option for the warning popup which was close and once clicked it closes flrig, leaving me no way to use flrig at this point, there are a few other app's that either will not open or open then close. Overall, I think this is very good work and hope to see more updates as it goes on.
