My HCOL profile email entries are "Invalid, Undeliverable"


 

I think something is broken. I am a new member of TBARC and I am not receiving club emails. Both of my email addresses are perfectly valid.


Any ideas? Thanks.

Well, it all started with this:

That's a bounce message from the w7tbc.org email server that said that at that time, your account did not exist.

It's? been consistently bouncing since then.

According to logs, you've *been getting* email at the c@... address:

Thanks for getting back. Yes, that’s the first thing I find puzzling. I have been getting admin emails from HCOL at c@..., no problem. But it’s flagged as invalid on my TBARC profile.

?

And even though I can receive test emails at kc9ad@... from other email accounts,? I am not receiving TBARC club emails. And this address is also flagged as invalid.

?

I guess the question is, what should my club HCOL admin be looking for? Thanks again for a great software product. 73.

BTW. I think I misunderstood something about updating my profile. I kept trying to update my club email and it kept changing my account email instead. That’s why so many change requests. Based on those log entries you sent, I see only one email address mentioned, not two. I assume that my club email address is the one that club emails would be sent to.

What I see on the admin side is your *account* email, I'd need to emulate one of the club admins to see what the "club" email is set to, I could go in and nuke that in the db and you'd just have your account email, and everything should go there.

Club email was something that was added at the request of one or two clubs, and isn't used much, and isn't really applicable to someone that is only in one club.

But once it was created, then club admins would start trying to change members email, when that wasn't what really needed to be done.

Your c@ address was marked undeliverable, I cleared that.

Hello Michael,

I think we have a similar situation again. Byron Sieber (primary email: byron_sieber@...) has a "club email" address that he now realizes he doesn't need. Our HCOL admin, Warren, says that he does not see any way to delete it. Is that something you can direct us to? Or can you do it with your super powers?

You can just set the club email to be the same as the account email.??
