Jim, you GPSDO is fine for this. I turn mine on for a day or 2 before I intend to use it. Most come from CDMA cell sites so have to lock pretty quick for power supply cuts and such. I think PER_CAL

Just found out the E6380A (electroluminescent version of 8935) has a coin cell for the internal backup battery, not a cylindrical like the 892X series. It's a beefy one rated 1 amp hour: CR2477.
