Should I be worried?

When I powered up my MMS 22GHz SA this week and was greeted with this error.

When I run the analyzer self test it seems to pass. ?And I can change CF and spans and the error does not seem to appear. ?

Is there anything I should be doing to not make it worse?

Thanks
Dave

Did you check the battery for memory backup ? not sure the 70000 has battery or not but the module should easy to remove for inspection?

The 70900A/B Local Oscillator module contains a Tadiran TL5104/P battery. It maintains the SRAM contents, including basic configuration info and any stored DLPs. I don't know what's causing the problem with Dave Miller's LO module, but I'm pretty sure it's not the battery.

This is what happens when people don't quote what they're replying to, which is common when treating this mailing list as if it were a web forum. It really makes a mess of things.

In this case, YIG-tuned oscillator. The subject was a 70900 local oscillator module that is throwing errors on startup. (and it's probably not his YIG this time)

To be fair both?

1) Not quoting what one is replying to OR
2) Quoting vast amounts of irrelevant previous posts

are common on all mailing lists.? That problem is not unique to a forum, with email facilities like .

Likewise some people top-posting, and others bottom-posting is not unique to forums.?

As much as I prefer bottom-posting on public mailing lists, arguing about the merits of one way or the other is as pointless as arguing about religion.?
