hp 5245L - 3722A Card Extenders

All,

I am setting-out to repair both my hp 3722A Noise Generator and 5245L Counter and these consist of a plethora of 15-pin cards - cards in the power section of the 3722A are long and contain two separate 15-pin connectors. As it is helpful to sometimes bring a card out for testing/debugging, I am looking for 4-6 card extenders, preferably about a 4"/10 cm extension length, like the 5060-0049 that would have originally come with the units. I have seen other extenders on eBay that are quite long and this not preferred, if at all possible. I am located in Europe but have a courier service with DHL, if this makes it more convenient.

Thanks in advance.

Christopher

Not directly helpful but I used KiCad and PCBWay to create a bunch of 22-pin extenders - It was fairly inexpensive - I also picked up the Cinch connectors from Newark for a much less inexpensive amount but still on a card-by-card basis, very competitive with what those cards were going for on the auction sites.

Might be worth looking into.

Tony,

That is a really good idea! I will give that a try. Would you be willing to share the KiCad model? I'm not terribly versed in KiCad but can sort a 15-pin extender from the 22-pin model, even if starting afresh. Also, I have a hp 3721A Correlator that needs a 22-pin extender to debug a logic board.

Hi Christopher and Tony,

Two years ago I made several HP extender boards. Log in and have a look in the files section under the name HP Extension Boards - Gerber and Kicad files - Jaap PA0JRK
Perhaps its something you can use.

Greetings,
Jaap
