HP8753 E and ES Inverted display fix & how to revitalize keypads

 

I decided to make some repair videos about how to fix the most common issues with HP8753 series network analyzers.
?
Here is my first attempt where I cover how to fix the inverted display issue & non-functional keys.? I may do more of these covering other topics (stepped attenuator issues, troubleshooting, etc).? Welcoming feedback.

I took a quick look at the video. HP rubber key pads had injection molded legends, which was done to prevent the numbers and letters from ever being wiped off either from use or solvent cleaning. At least some of the Chinese clone key pads are screen printed. My guess is that Keysight to this day uses the durable method, but I have been wrong before.

So, if you see an 8753 with missing numbers or letters on the keys, then I think the key pad has been replaced with a non HP part.
