I'm putting together a mmWave VNA system and have it running fairly well.

The problem is that only a1 (indicator on front panel of 85105 mmWave controller) seems to activate and it is necessary to press a button to initiate sweeps.
The screen displays "CONNECT DEVICE FOR FORWARD/REVERSE MEASUREMENT" and soft button 2 shows "PRESS to CONTINUE".
It also seems like only test set at port 1 is providing any response

Can this be related to the (undocumented?) switch on the backside of the 85105 controller "Test set mode"? It is in pictures (e.g., p 6-9, set to R/T, but can be switched to S-PARAMETER. Figure 6-26 indicates that this has something to do with a configuration switch on A3 VTO summing amp.
It may be obvious that it should be switched to S-PARAMETER, but before doing something I may regret, I figure asking here would be the right thing.
