The seller is legit, honest, knows RF and microwaves and has a good stock of items. I have known him for many years, and last saw him a month ago at at an electronics swap meet, where he has been selling for many years.
I have no idea why he is unresponsive, but I know how to contact him. Hopefully he is not ill, during this difficult time.

Just an FYI – if you are outside of the geographic area the seller has indicated they will ship to, eBay will block contact requests initiated through the links in the item listing. You need to go to the top-level screen and then contact the seller outside of the item listing.

I've contacted some sellers who have had options set wrong because ebay screwed with them when they were entering the listing and they didn't see the defaults moved.

Most change the listing for me.? (have so far had the sellers both willing to do so, and have ebay change the option).

Mostly for changing off "local pickup" which happened inadvertantly in both cases)

Hi Paul: I sent him a message about an item just now, on Ebay… no problem. It's in my sent box, under Messages in My Ebay… so I assume it is at least spooled up on Ebay.

One trick that worked always for me:

Click on the rating score number:


The seller's profile will open.
Then click on 'contact member':


and check 'This is not about an item' box (important!):



This will let you get in contact with the seller directly, circumventing restrictions set with offered items.
