E7495A/B software

does anyone have a copy of the E7495A/B Performance Verification and Adjustment software they could share? I have a new-to-me E7495A that won’t lock it’s internal reference oscillator and all the adjustments are done with this software package. It’s supposedly available only on PCMCIA or CF cards. I haven’t found it on the Keysight website or anywhere else, nor can I find a part number for it, only the title is referenced in the service manual.?
Thanks!
Steve

There appears to be an oversite (bug) in the software.
See :?

This is a very good discussion on the software and some hacks.
There appears to be a patch for this problem, until the end of the year.
This appears to be a variation of the 1024 week roll over problem.

Interesting discussion! But I need to find the software and do the adjustments before I make the keep/return decision on this one.?
Keysight will calibrate it for me for just over $600 but won’t admit the software they call for in the manual actually exists. Not the old HP days anymore!

I modified the file in the e7495 Full 625 Upgrade
I now have a PCMCIA Card that both upgrades the e7495 and patches the time/freq problem
I have a zipped file that includes everything you need to make a CF or PCMCIA card that upgrades to 625 and corrects the time problem
If anyone wants it I can share the file.

Yes, please!

Grü?e, Carsten

Let us hope this file is not too big
This is the entire Full625 upgrade with the freq/time GPS patch already done
Just unzip and put it on a PCMCIA or CF card and boot the e7495
If anyone tries this please tell me if they have any problems
It worked just fine for me

“Put it” as in make a FAT32 file system on the card and load the files on it?

Attachments may vanish after a while.? far better to place something like this in the Files Area in an appropriately named “Folder”.

If enough people tell me that this works, I'll ask the moderator to see if we can put it in files.
Although it worked fine for me, I would like some input before putting it into files.
If anyone uses this, please tell me one way or the other.
By the way,how do you get things like this into Files Area? Never done it. Someone please tell me.

About formatting a card for this, The 7495 has a media manager menu that allows you to format a card.
Just put a card into the e7495 any time after boot. You can remove and replace cards anytime.
About the format type:
I think it is Linux ext2, do not know if FAT works but I think if it did it would be FAT12 or 16, do not really know
I would just copy the zipped file onto the card and then unzip it. You can then delete the zipped file from the card, you do not need it and it takes up space.

Is this true? I don't think auto-deletes attachments any more than uploaded files or folders. The only mention of deleting attachments on their site is this:?/g/GroupManagersForum/wiki/Deleting%20attachments,%20files%20and%20photos, which describes a rather laborious one-by-one manual process.

I tend to discover attachments from messages and it's pretty annoying when they're not linked from the discussion. With , each email message has a link to the web view of the discussion, and the web view in turn has the attachment inline or linked from the message.
All round, it seems to me that it's quicker, easier and less error prone to simply email attachments at the list...

You, or anyone else, can put put files in the files area. There’s no need to seek permission?

I would tend to agree, but there are some readers of the list with slow connections. One person threatened to leave the list as I allowed attachments. He felt strongly that attachments should not be permitted. But his view seemed to be in a minority, although he was not the only one with such a view.?

So I suggest some common sense is used. If the file is small, feel free to attach, but otherwise stick it in the files area.?

People do have the option of configuring the largest attachment they want - it is one of the settlers in .?

Dave (list owner)?

Correction:

Sorry for misinformation, the file system used by 7495 is FAT 32,
Or at least that is what my computer says about the card I used.

I don't know enough about Linux even be dangerous. As such I thought it would be wonderful to try your method so I ran up to best buy and bought the only Compact Flash card they had. It took some playing around with the card before I could get the E7495B to format it, but I finally got there. After uncompromising your file I placed it onto the CF drive, powered off the unit and inserted the CF. However, my E7495B does not appear to look at it during boot up. The unit simply boots up as usual.? I even tried changing the folder name to CF but no luck. Any suggestions will be very much appreciated.
