Tek/HP/Etc chat server

Hi all,
Just wanted to remind everyone that the chat server is alive and
kicking. You can join via this invitation link:

After you join you don't need an invitation link.

The link will expire in 7 days, if you need an invitation after that,
drop me a message.

The chat server allows real time text, audio, and video chat. You can
use a dedicated desktop or phone app, or you can use it in the
browser.

You can stream video of your repairs or projects if you want some
feedback or guidance.

Also any manufacturers are allowed beyond Tek and HPAK but those have
separate designated areas.

Since people are still trickling in, and the original link is about to
expire, here's another one that will last another 7 days:

Rule #6: "The server owner is exempt from all rules for obvious reasons"

I'll pass.

Sean

The owner of every forum is exempt from every rule they set, and you
can't do anything about it. This forum, unlike others, states it
outright. I put this rule in explicitly so people who make trouble
don't start contrived technical legal babble arguments about what I
may or may not do when I'm moderating the platform. This prevents any
"gotcha" moments. This sort of trolling strategy comes up often enough
on well populated forums that it's a real time waster.

For example, let's say someone said a racist cuss word. I'll kick them
off saying "you're getting kicked off because you said X". Then
they'll start arguing that I should kick myself off, or something
equally stupid. I've had this happen a million times and I can't be
bothered with that. Hence rule 6.

I don't think that was clear enough - consider taking out a full page
ad in the New York Times
