Siliconix DMOS FET's were used for high level (+27) mixers in HF receivers.? Racal 6790, 6830 etc.? 4 were used in a commutating ring setup driven by an amp driven to 1dBc to get a flat top on the 70 MHz sine wave. Siliconix did a good white paper on the application. Tektronix used DMOD in the front ends of some TM500/5000 counters, DC509 etc. JimMc
