I would appreciate comments from anyone who has upgraded their 8757A with an LCD display. Did the installation go OK, is the resolution as good as the CRT, any problems or quirks you've noticed?

In case anyone is interested in this I put together a one pager:




I am selling my excess materials in form of very small batch of five boards. The boards are now assembled and pending testing.

Parts for LED substitute backlight for NEC NL10276BC16-01 panel that this uses have also arrived (, been constructed and tested to work too).

These boards are priced as follows:

LCD1349A - eur 300.
LED backlight kit - eur 30.

There's no VAT and none will be added.

Documentation still needs work but I would expect it to be ready in a couple of days.

If you are interested in an XGA LCD kit for your 8753B please contact me off the list.

The LCD-panel can be purchased directly from China. There appears to be also some available in ebay. I can supply the panel too but will need to add shipping to me and customs fees + VAT on it. It makes it's cost about eur 300 from me (and I have none available at the moment).
