comprehensive texts written on the general aspects of amplifiers, and cover
vacuum tubes, bipolar transistors, and field-effect transistors, with
significant chapters on biasing, noise, negative feedback, low- and
high-frequency compensation, and multistage feedback.
Craik, D.J. (ed)
Magnetic Oxides, Part 2
Wiley, 1975, XLIB VG/-, $20.00

inside, and the cover and spine are immaculate. An essential collection of
papers on advanced topics of ferrite materials. Thiis is an exceptionally
clean copy, and far lesser copies are listed on the used book market for
more than $50.
Eastman, Gerald A.
Television System Measurements
Tektronix, 1969, pbk, VG+/-, $5.00
There are no markings on the pages and for a paperback of this age it's
really in exceptionally nice condition. Covers aspects of monochrome and
colour television broadcast studio measurements. This an exceptionally
clean copy of one of the Tektronix series on measurements and circuit
concepts.
Hamsher, Donald H.
Communications System Engineering Handbook
McGraw-Hill, 1967, hbk,VG/G++, $7.50
No internal markings to be found other than owner's name on FFEP, and the
cover and spine are without any blemish. Dustjacket has a chip missing at
the top of the front along with a closed tear. This reference is typical of
the McGraw-Hill engineering handbooks, having a good amount of imformation
regarding telephone, wire and cable, closed-circuit TV, power-line carrier,
and most forms of wireless communication systems.
Haus, H.A. and R.B. Adler
Circuit Theory of Linear Noisy Networks
Wiley, 1959, cloth, XLIB VG-/-, $15.00
Slight wear overall, library sticker on FC. The authors of this book set
the standards for receiver and noise figure measurements as well as the
design of low-noise small-signal amplifiers. A basic and essential
reference for designers involved with communications receivers.
Hewlett Packard
1998 Test and Measurement Catalog
Hewlett Packard, 1988, cloth, VG+/-, $7.50
Very slight wear overall to covers and spine, no markings found internally.
Nice clean copy of an essential reference on H-P test equipment just before
they split off and became Agilent.
Krauss, H.L., C.W. Bostian, and F.H. Raab
Solid State Radio Engineering
Wiley, 1980, hbk, VG/-, $35.00
Some minor wear to cover corners and spine ends. No internal markings
found. Despite it's age, this text remains as one of the most significant
works on liear and high-efficiency switching amplifiers, and also has
substantial chapters on small-signal amplifiers, oscillators, mixers,
phase-locked loops, and receivers.
McAbel, Walter E.
Probe Measurements
Tektronix, 1969, paperback, VG+/-, $5.00
No markings inside or ou other than corporate library stamp in title paget
and no noticable wear to cover, making this an exceptionally clean copy of
one of the Tektronix series on measurements and circuit concepts.
MIT Department of Electrical Engineering Staff
Magnetic Circuits and Transformers
Wiley, 1943, cloth, G+/-, $17.50
Very little wear overall, owner's name crossed out with felt pen on FFEP
together with notes written on FFEP and RFEP. One of the most substantial
books written on magnetism and transformers, this book is an essential
reference for designers of inductors and transformers, and other than the
notes inside the front and rear covers it's exceptionally clean.
MIT Radar School Staff
Principles of Radar, 3rd ed.
McGraw-Hill, 1952, cloth, G+/-, $15.00
Slight wear to covers and spine. No internal markings found. This is the
third and last version of the famed reference used by the MIT Radiation
Laboratory in the development of radar during and immediately after WWII.
This is a very clean copy.
Mulvey, John
Semiconductor Device Measurements
Tektronix, 1969, pbk, VG+/-, $5.00
There are no markings on the pages and for a paperback of this age it's
really in exceptionally nice condition. Book covers the teasting of a wide
range of semiconductor devices. This an exceptionally clean copy of one of
the Tektronix series on measurements and circuit concepts.
Schelkunoff, Sergei A.
Applied Mathematics for Engineers and Scientists, 2nd edition
Van Nostrand, 1965, cloth, VG+/VG-, $10.00

the late 1940's to 1950's.
Schlicke, H.M.
Essentials of Dielectromagnetic Engineering
Wiley, 1961, hbk, XLIB VG-/-, $5.00
Usual library markings with call number blacked out on spine, glue residue
from pocked inside FC, etc. An otherwise very clean copy of a highly useful
reference on ferrites and high-permittivity dielectrics, including a lengthy
section on amplitude, frequency, and temperature dependencies.
Sze, S.M.
Physics of Semiconductor Devices, 2nd ed.
Wiley, 1981, hbk, VG+/-, $15.00
Essentially an unused copy. One of the more comprehensive texts on
semiconductors, starting with basic diode junction theory, then to bipolar
and FET devices, including JFET, MESFET, and MOSFET. Additional chapters on
tunnel diodes, IMPATT diodes, LEDs, Laser diodes, photodetectors, and solar
cells.

McGraw-Hill, 1971, cloth, VG+/VG-, $10.00
Owner's name on FFEP, otherwise no markings internally. Cover and spine
are spotless, showing little sign of usage. Dustjacket has very little
wear except along edges. This volume is the first of a four-volume set
published by Burr-Brown at a point in time when high-performance
operational amplifiers were just becoming available and their
applications were not readily understood. An exceptionally clean copy
of a very worthwhile reference.
Verdeyen, Joseph T.
Laser Electronics
Prentice-Hall, 1981, hbk, VG+/-, $7.50
Owner's name on FFEP, otherwise no markings found anywhere. Slight wear to
cover corners. A very thorough text on every sort of laser that you can
think of.

Oxford, 1947, cloth, VG-/-, $15.00
Bookstore label inside FC, owner's library stamp on FFEP. No markings to be
found internally. Cover and spine have slight wear. This was one of the
earliest books made available outside of the military describing the
workings of waveguide assemblies and UHF/microwave antennas.

Prices are exclusive of shipping costs. Unless otherwise noted, for
US, add $3.75 for first book, and $1.75 for each additional. Canadian
shipping is dependent on actual cost. Shipment overseas is far too
expensive to be worth considering, as a 5lb book to Britain costs US$35 to
mail. Payment in US$ in advance by cheque or money order. Sorry, no
Paypal.
