HP8569B question
Hi all,
Is here someone kind enough to help me with my HP8569B? I got it today and I am little confused with frequency span button. Although it is marked up to 500MHz I can not set it to span greater than 10 MHz. It seems that it is somehow mechanically blocked, there is a small plastic rod going from analyzer's front panel towards the span knob and ending inside it. I did little research and figured out that this rod is actually the thing that blocks the span button from being turned further than to 10MHz span. Shall I press something or do some other action to disable that blocking? Thanks for any advice. Michal Vanka |

i didn't knew the 8569, but be very careful with the knob, make sure that there is no slight defect in the switch which is probably repairable. if you use some force and some parts broke (-maybe more than yet) than you have big problems. i have heared about that, that hp plastic parts get very brittle with the time, so be careful!
