Help needed: simple THT soldering in Yorktown, Virginia, USA

 

Hello Friends,
sorry for being AFK for so long. A client of mine has a small but pressing problem - a through hole evaluation board I sent her broke down.

She is a .net programmer, so she cannot solder. But we would really need the PCB to work quickly - and the soldering job is totally uncritical.

If anyone of you feels like helping me out, please let me know via an email here or to tamhan@....

I could possibly help, but VA is a bit of a hike for me; I'm in NE Ohio. Any chance of getting the board to me, maybe via UPS?

Hey Tam, why not simply teach the know-how in this case. It's not at all rocket science for anyone on earth to learn the basics of soldering. You know the old adage "if you teach one to fish..." You should be able to easily talk someone through it for one-time, then unlimited times. An internet order for some tools and materials, and some phone or email discussion ought to do it.

sorry for being slow in responding to youse all.


I managed to return to my office yesterday, and FedEx the board. It should arrive by Friday, so I think this is the fastest way.


Thanks again for your willingness to help - I was hoping for someone to be "round the corner" who could just pop over. But alas, the Americas are a large and wide space...


Be that as it may, yes, I will teach Kiddo soldering one day. But we need to burn some ESP32 boards quickly...
