Re: WTB: Power Sensor for HP-435B HP-436A HP-438A

Hello Ilan,
I have a spare HP-8484A power sensor which is newly calibrated. I also have a 30dB precision attenuator to calibrate it with the 1mW output of the HP-436A.
Price for both is EURO 165 including insured shipping.
I might also have a power sensor cable, let me check.

Re: ho 8558B

I bought some Tek 7000-series parts from someone in Israel. Other than a
long lead time (and it wasn't that long), there were no problems. I
suspect that it depends on the seller, like any other eBay transaction.
Check their ratings, look at the feedback percentage vs. number of items
sold and caveat emptor.

Cheers,
DaveD

For anyone in the UK who may be interested, I just put a hp 8558B plugin
up on ebay. The description means what it says. It's been a while since it
was powered and I have no reason to believe there is anything wrong with
it but I cannot guarantee that it all works as it should, so consider it
"spares or repair".

Re: New USB to GPIB Board - Galvant Industries - Anyone tried this?

I have not used this device, but I noticed in the eBay listing that it does not support SRQ's at this time. If your application depends upon service requests, then this will not work for you. Otherwise, it looks like it may fit starting GPIB requirements.

Re: Looking for HP 85662a display unit

Good morning Dan:
I had two 85685A¡¯s. One that was attached to an 8566B and a spare. The 8566B/85685A set are at this moment on their way to a new owner and the spare which has never been on line here needs to be tested. At the moment I don¡¯t have the necessary cable to test it so will have to acquire one and test before selling. Don¡¯t want you to receive an untried device. I¡¯ll let you know when I have tested the spare.

Does anyone have an HP 85662a they'd want to part with? Repairable

Personally I think you get better value paying the extra for a Proligix adapter.
I have mine, and I'm **VERY** happy with that :o)

With GPIB boards, check about 100% compatability with the SW you intend to
use FIRST.

I've had no end of issues with various HP interface boards, instruments,
and SW. The HP LASER Interferometers, for example.

Also, if you care, LabVIEW only runs with some hardware.

If you are going to write your own SW, it probably matters not at all, but
i9f you want to use premade packages, tread carefully.

YMMV,

Hi all,

Many times, I will send an email to this list and it will literally

posted a
message directly into the yahoo UI and it never appeared (when I say
appeared, I
mean looking at the messages directly on the yahoo website).

Does anyone know who the owner of this list is (I have emailed
list-owner many
times with no response in the past)? Does anyone know if messages are

if, say, they contain links?
I am a moderator on other groups. (two, to be exact). If a message is
sent by
someone moderated, the messages arrives at my email box as a part of a
larger
message telling me that has posted and message and as the person is
moderated, the message must be approved.

I must go to the website and approve (or otherwise classify) the
message, or I can
reject it by email (but not approve by email). The message expires in 14
days.

There is no criteria for moderating a person based on the content of
his/her
message, although it's possible to label some messages as spam. (they
show up in
a separate folder on the website).

The moderation is based on a particular yahoo sender, nothing else.

You either are, or are not.

Hope this helps a bit.
