Re: 5334A part reference
开云体育
The microprocessor you have was primarily used as a development part.
The PROM was in most of the Mostek microprocessors for one time mask programming.?
What you have allowed the developer to write the program into a UV erasable EPROM
and test the program until they went to production with one time parts.
Sometimes on low run products, the development style parts were cheaper to use than having
hundreds of one shot parts mask programmed.

Joe,
I'm not sure if HP changed this part out at some point. I popped the hood on my 5334A and found a microprocessor with a piggybacked ROM, both of which in place of A1U29, yet the service manual only lists the one part. In mine the Microprocessor is a Mostek MK38P70/02H. The ROM plugged into it is a TMS2532JL-45 (HP PN: 1818-0762). From what I recall this ROM has a fairly unique pinout, TI swapped some pins around, so be cautious when sourcing replacements. There's also the issue of finding a dump of the ROM, to program the replacement. Regarding the oscillator. This is a little more effort than a drop in replacement, but short of finding a broken 5334A to harvest from, it's a viable approach. Many years ago I made a board to adapt an HP 10811-60111 oscillator to the 5334A. That oscillator
was much easier to find at the time. Details of the project are on the

HP E6380A - 8935 Frequency range
A question on the HP E6380A - 8935 test set.? Does that test set allow you to test 1.2 GHz analog FM equipment?? The set mentions the range from 1.7 to 2.0 GHz and then 400 kHz to 1 GHz from what I read.? So is there some kind of gap where say you cannot test a radio for TX/RX at 1288 MHz?? ??
?
Thanks - Sig

HP3582a problem no chanel 2
Hello,
?
I recently purchased an HP3582A, and I'm encountering a problem with channel B. It's constantly in overload and always displays a saturated spectral line, even with nothing connected.
Channel A seems to be working fine.
To diagnose the issue, I swapped the cards for channels A and B, and I found that both cards function correctly, but only when plugged into slot channel A.
I also swapped 4 digital filter components , but the problem persists.
?
Is there anyone who could guide my investigation?
?
Thanks

Re: Several problems with Agilent 54810
Hello,
?
hello,
Sunday, I took back my Agilent 54810 and wanted to replace my Atlas motherboard with my A-Trend 71110M Card. This motherboard works perfectly with an ATX power supply (it has the 2 types of power connectors) Once installed, (connection power is done by connectors P8 P9) it does not seem to start (a bit like the Atlas board that seemed to have a random start), I see that the signal "Power Good" is at 78 millivolts! The 5v seemed to be at 5.18V (from memory). I don't know if it's to much? On power supply you have 4 potentiometer? for each power (+5,-5,+12,-12) I took the acquisition board apart and followed the Power good signal.? It arrives on a circuit TL7770-5, which controls the 5v I think. The components around seem good. (résistors) An idea apart from a circuit out of service? Have you the schematic of this board 54810-66501?? ?
nb: This day (tuesday), the motherboard work and the power good signai is at 5v!!!
?
Is it the fact of having dismantled the acquisition card? (False contact on a cable, a weld,???)
I measured the tensions: 5.06v recommended 5.1v -5.31v recommended -5.1v 12.26 v recommended 12.2v -12.32v recommended -12.2v This material is not far from the 30 years and has probably drifted in time. Is this a reason for the power good signal to drop to 0? It is controlled by a TL7770 -5 Can I re-weld his paws? Remaking a voltage adjustment? It’s a bit tricky but doable. your opinions
nb: I have posted the pb on forum Eevblog, but no answer?

Re: HP-8903A Audio analyzer - Un-stable output below 0.5865V (3-relay OSC Board)
Hello All,
seems found the root cause of the issue?
?
1. I re-checked the FET/IC caps, can't fins trace of issue?
2. the OSC. output unstable is not 100% happened.
3. the behavior is depends to operation time (temperature?)
the volatge/THD is jumping
??
Presumed the issue should come from contacts?
try to raise Atten board with hand-made risers,
set to low output < 0.58V
slightly click the relay, only k2 is sensitive to touch.
?
de-solder the replay and check the resistance with 5VDC apply to coil,
Pin 3/5=150Ohm, Pin6/8=0.4Ohm, yes it is a bad reply.
since not easy to get one,?
I remove the cover and try to clean the contacts by very fine sand paper with alcohol.
it works again, not sure how long it would last.

Re: Weird HP 11880A N-Adapters
Hi Maurizio,
?
Thanks for reply.
I only read that a 50Ω impedance N connector is provided, not a 50Ω load or termination.
?
My point is that this adapter is explicitely described as 1MΩ/0dB in the manual I referenced without any indication of loading.

Re: HP Basic for Windows 6.33, printed documentation
开云体育A reasonable question to ask when you happen to get a 32 bit app running on 64 bit windows is whether IO cards and libraries work as expected.
For my use cases, I would only be concerned with HP-IB access to instruments (the purpose for running the code) and access to an HP-IB floppy (9122C) to exchange data with something that includes a floppy but isn’t otherwise convenient to transfer
data to/from meant for a third instrument.
