The function(s) listed below. Some instruments have multiple functions - for example, the 4195A is a VNA, spectrum analyzer and an impedance analyzer. Therefore the 4195A is listed in multiple categories
I think that you all are on the right track here.? Gotek makes a model which fits available in various places:
?
1)? ebay - confirmed compatibility by seller (thanks Vladan) for $120: https://www.ebay.com/itm/333459123742?epid=20028560258&hash=item4da3b66e1e:g:QjsAAOSwcABeCbYb
2)? Amazon - Appears to be the same, but not confirmed for $70: ?
3)? On Gotek site (but minimum quantity for orders is 10 pcs.? Price unknown: ?
4)? On aliexpress (Thanks John) - about $40:? Please note - there are two versions - one which is for 1.44 MB and another which is for 720 KB.? I believe that only the former (1.44 MB) will work (but am not 100% sure - kind of like spelling Teak):? Search for SFR1M44-DU26 GOTEK USB DRIVE.
?
I am tempted to order one on aliexpress to see if they work better than my spell-checker.
Should there be any real difference in interfacing an 8750A storage normalizer with an 8410B+8412B+8341B (as opposed to the documented 8410B+8412A+8620 procedure)???
The only real difference I can see in the cabling diagram is that my 8412B display unit does not have a "Blanking" input.??
Right now I can't get past the first step:? CH1, Bypass, then press Input and "you should be able to find a trace".? But I can't, with any adjustment on the 8750A or the NA card.
Next step is to tear the 8750A apart but maybe there's an undocumented trick? Thanks,
I already have PDF files of the -90004 & -90005 manuals. But these apply to very early (~1960¡¯s) 651s. The unit I am working on contains date codes of 1983.

Yes indeed, not always easy to measure, but we always end up finding a way to get there.

I attached the constants for the flatness of my 8591A, this gives you an idea of ??the level of correction to be made.
The correction table for the flatness of my 8595E, does not use the same frequencies for the range up to 1.8GHz.

Have fun with your 8591E!

Hey Yves,
?
Just a small update on the analyzer. Everything seems to be fine, also with the FADC option installed. I'll see if I can do some level corrections and perhaps do a Lin/Log adjustment some day. But for now I'm happy with my analyzer.
?
Thanks a lot for all your help! You really went through a lot of trouble measuring and modifying your analyzer to check things.?
I purchased this 3-volume set and it arrived while I was in the hospital after an operation.? (I spent several months non-weightbearing and then months getting my balance back and relearning to walk.)
?
As such, I have the never-opened original shipping package and now I am getting to the point where I need to provide much of my electronics hoard to others.
?
I am offering the set for $100 plus shipping to the first person who contacts me at lmcelhiney@...

You can verify my address at QRZ.

Thank you,

you are correct, the Gotek drives I've bought are 25mm high so I have to remove the encoder button, replace the screen with a smaller one, 0.91" 128x32 OLED and 3D print a new case. I also re-soldered one thru hole electrolytic capacitor to be able to tilt it. Maybe I should have ordered PCB:s and components instead and done a scratch build.
?
I have not yet looked into the rear interface connection but I plan upgrading my HP8753D over the holidays.

Would anyone have a HP 651B test oscillator OP/SVC manual covering serials around 1200A and later (1980¡¯s manufacture)? All of the ones I can find are referring to serials in the very early range of 6xx (1960¡¯s manufacture).
Also, even if you don¡¯t have a spare some information on a manual part number that would be covering that range would be helpful.
Thanks,

I need a picture from the inside of the PSU of hp 8593A, the board with the UC3844? ,
there is, or was ... I see nothing ... a C13 what is connected to pin6 of the UC3844 , pin6 is the output. I need please the information: what part is there at place "C13" ?

Since the 8566B switches between band 3 to band 4 in the upper band at 18.5 GHz and the 8341B/8340B switches at 20.0 GHz, I would say it is pretty conclusive it is the 8566B that needs adjustments in this case.
