Re: Fake fire New

It was a commercial TV station. We pay for it, whenever we buy something sold by their sponsors. They are supposed to be professionals, not some hack, with a free blog. They just make things up, rather than actually do their job of investigating the news before reporting it. I worked as a Broadcast Engineer and radio & TV stations. Shoddy work like this, is the main reason that I left that field. If I did my job as poorly as the 'News' the stations would be off the air more than they were on.

Fake News is fiction, a lie, propaganda.? What is being described sounds more
like incompetence.? But of course there are a zillion "channels" now and many
fewer paying subscribers, so what do you expect in terms of quality?? How many
subscriptions do you pay for? Fewer and fewer people pay for their news sources
these days so quality will inevitably suffer.

It's not like it was, 50 years ago when it would have taken 20 minutes (at

portables and a couple vehicles vs losing the entire corporation is a huge
error that a real journalist wouldn't have made.

?Whats with the "Fake News" rhetoric. Using the term "Fake News" infers
purposeful?deception which I highly doubt is the case. Reporters are humans
and they do make mistakes. Also, not everyone?is an electronics nerd
interested in $100,000 pieces?of test gear so It's not surprising that a
normal person wouldn't know who Keysight is. How many electronics geeks?know
who Beneteau is ??and yet they are worlds most highly regarded?builders of
high-performance cruising and racing sailboats. By the way, a quick check if
the USGS shows that there was indeed a small earthquake just outside Sonoma on
the 14th.
