The addresses are located near the top of the program and are clearly identified. The Operation Verification manual contains futher important information concerning the verification program. Some of the items covered in the manual are: * What the Operation Verification program actually verifies. * What to do if you have trouble running the program. * What to do if the test instrument is out-of-tolerence. USING THE PROGRAM Getting Started After presentation of preliminary instructions and information, the program advances to a pre-calibration routine. This routine is important because the validity of the tests depends, in part, on proper instrument calibration. Please follow all instructions as they appear on the spectrum analyzer CRT. Testing Single Tests. Any of the tests may be performed singly by entering the test number on the spectrum analyzer data keyboard and pushing Hz. The test is then performed before the program returns to the test menu. Repeat test. Any test may be performed repetitively by entering the test number followed by kHz. The program continues to perform the specified test until the MHz key is pushed. This aborts the current test and returns the program to the test menu. All Tests. All fifteen tests may be performed in sequence by entering 0 Hz on the data keyboard. The fifteen tests are performed in the order listed. Whenever an equipment change is required, the new test setup is displayed on the spectrum analyzer CRT and the program is halted until the new connections are completed. Test Results The test number, title, specification, and measured data are printed on an HP-IB printer or on the spectrum analyzer CRT, depending on your selection. If no printout is selected, only the test menu is updated. If the measured data indicates that a parameter is out-of-tolerence, a double astrisk (**) is placed adjacent to the data. The printout also lists the title of the Performance Test (in the Tests and Adjustments manual) related to the parameter that is out-of-tolerence. Verfication of an instrument failure re- quires that this test be performed. Other Instructions All necessary instructions for proper operation of this program are displayed on the spectrum analyzer CRT as they are needed. Follow all instructions as they appear and remember that the current test can be aborted by pushing MHz and waiting for the program to return to the menu.
