The contest lodge of preference on Belize is/was the Maya Hill Lodge <>. But since the BARC <>?Club shack burned down in 2021? they have been in “recovery mode” trying to get equipment, etc. replaced. Would have to contact them directly to find out current status of operations.
Maya Hill or one of the other, more seaside, lodges might still be the go-to locations. A couple oof nice ones on the near-shore cayes that seem to have good prices and amenities, though VERY laid back, might be the way to go. Radio from the porch, or hammock, or beach chair; snorkeling, diving, fishing, sunning and vegetating seem to be the daily chores. Maybe a boat ride out to one of the marine reserves (activate portable from the boat? Maybe)
Ev, this “Travel Zoo” sounds a tad expensive for a two-day in-country operation. But definitely comfy!
