Signing protocol for Canada/USA

Interesting discussion about YS call sign use in Canada and visa versa. ?

Here is the best statement on it that I’ve seen:

WSJT-X should also understand that CEPT rules do not recognize a suffix
- only a prefix (e.g. F/).

The only case I know where a suffix is used

is with the (ancient) USA-Canada treaty that specifies a suffix for
licensees of those two governments when operating in the other country.

"Prefix only except for USA/CA" is not a particularly difficult rule to
肠辞诲别.”

Yep, that is what I got from the RAC before (6/15/22).

-"The provincial prefix should be appended as a suffix, after your identifying call sign. So in PE, you would identify as "WT4BT/VY2". You do not need to specify more precisely than the province or territory you will be operating in.

So, you may have to correct any log entries/ADIF's from some softwares prior to submitting to LoTW or whatever.
Just more work for the operator/log-keeper.
