telemetry channel
Hi everyone. I have assembled several ICT trackers with standard firmware (using timing3). Did some tests using a 50 ohm resistor instead of an antenna - works great. Tell me how to find out which telemetry channel is free and which one I can use for tests with an antenna so as not to disturb anyone. Is this list still up to date? - http://hojoham.blogspot.com/2016/10/known-flight-ids.html. Are there any instructions for adding to habhub? Sorry for my english, I use google translate.

Hi, I sugest you use the wspr to hab script avalible from the original author??or the fork from?? ?let this run for at least 24h and you will have a clue what channels are in use, looks like 0x3 0x4 0x5 qx7 and I know another 2 or 3 channels are in use, you have also the option in this script to lock just one of the 2min slot to you call, so in reality every "channel" is 5 subchannels, this is for example used curently by VE3KCL as he transmitts on slot min 0 and 6 (iirc) on ch4 - 0x4.
Also make sure you use the latest ict fw, it makes HUGE difference in encoding and decoding, /g/HABalloon/message/123 /Mikael |
Hello?Konstantin, good morning to you! Welcome in this beautiful hobby. I don't know exactly what channels are already occupied?by others. I can tell you I use channel Q6 (telemetry message callsign Qx6xxx), all slots. I wish you all the best with your launches. Don't concern about your English languages, google translator has made you a native speaker!? :) 73 de IZ7VHF Roberto. Konstantin, there is a group called Picoballoon?/g/picoballoon which is much more active than this HAB Balloon group.? You may find an answer to your question there more quickly than here. cheers, Graham ve3gtc On Mon, Feb 1, 2021 at 2:17 AM Konstantin via <maro_n9=[email protected]> wrote: Hi everyone. Appreciate all the useful information which is shared here in this group. We are going to fly the ICT v5 tracker based on the PCB designs and code at - but, as I understand, new W5KUB's are flying with newer code (and possibly updated versions of the PCB). Maybe you could suggest how to get the subscription to the picoballoon group approved? Thanks, On Mon, Feb 1, 2021 at 6:40 PM Graham, VE3GTC <colonelkrypton@...> wrote:

Hi, Good to se those files come to use :)? its my pcb design and take on the ict fw, the code is the most updated one and is likley working as good or better then W5KUB code, if Im correct they stil use original ict code which have a problem with wspr timing/encoding, I presented the new improved code for KUB in oct/nov they did not for the follow flights implemet it, though a bird wisperd they might have had help setting it up on later flights, as those files in my git using interupdriven timing of the tx it will at least be on par with best out there and its much simpler to build/assamble as it have less components to solder and is as light/small it can be and you have the option to use the small or large 328 ic.
A big tnx to Eduard YO3ICT, that helped me implement this new interupt timing into the code after I found the fix a couple of month ago! Also tnx to?RAJlab at??where I found the timing code. Its compatible with the ict board as well with minor tweek of the code 73 and good luck! /Mikael |
Hi, I have never seen this behavior under countless hours of testing and flying the firmware, first thing that strikes me is that the board might have lost gps sync, how are you testing it? maby put it outside on battery power and see if the problem is still there.
gps antenna? what are you using? /Mikael |
Consider I used 46mm long beginning from the top vias, where you see the soldering. I tested many times the pcb outside, with integrated gps antenna, but that didn't work. I also switched power off and on, and no work. When, finally, I soldered antenna upside, it worked fine. So, that was really no good idea to put integrated antenna. Probably too low trace cross section surface. R Il Gio 25 Feb 2021, 19:44 Mikael Dagman <mikael_dagman@...> ha scritto: That GPS antenna looks way to long, it should only be 46mm long.? |
Please apologize.? I supposed Mikael wrote me message about our previous email. For Mikael: now I can confirm, this is the effect of Etna's dust!? Have a nice evening all. Roberto?
