JES2 modification

开云体育

I have developed and tested a modification for the JES2 output writer that issues a devinit command to Hercules for each print data set which splits up the output for printer and punch devices. I am not a system programmer but am good with assembler language. As a result I have no idea how to turn this coder into a usermod for general use. Entries look like

If anyone is interested. I am more than willing to share this code.

The code was developed from the system generated by Jay Maynard's excellent sysgen instructions.

Not mine, Jay Moseley's. And yes, they're excellent.

Packaging a usermod for SMP is pretty straightforward. If you were to share it, I suspect it would be turned into an SMP usermod in short order.

My apologies to Jay Moseley. He really did do an excellent job on the sysgen instructions. I have attached my documentation for the changes I made. I think they are pretty clear but feel free to contact me if you have questions or want clarification.
