restore optional tapes dos/vs 5 Pack

 

I am trying to use the restopt4.dosvs jobstream to load the optional VTAM support
to the 5 Pack system.? I keep getting equipment checks.? Has any one be able
to load the data to the system.

Tom, I think the data is already there in the DOSVS.OPTIONAL.VTAM private source library on the OPTLB1 disk, no need to restore from tapes.

I check the content of the library with the DSERV utility, and I can see 565 active entries. :-)

I may have a different set of dasd.? Did you run your dserv on the dos/vs that you have put together?.

I am using the 5pack original, and it shows only 182 entries in the library you reference.

I may download your system and do my changes to it.

Please advise.

No, I run it on the 5-pack from dosvs.31bits.net. Are you sure you are listing the proper library?

I never examined DOSVS.OPTIONAL.VTAM before your message and never restore anything from tapes anyway. :-)
