No, I run it on the 5-pack from dosvs.31bits.net. Are you sure you are listing the proper library?
I never examined DOSVS.OPTIONAL.VTAM before your message and never restore anything from tapes

I may have a different set of dasd. Did you run your dserv on the dos/vs
that you have put together?.
I am using the 5pack original, and it shows only 182 entries in the library

Tom, I think the data is already there in the DOSVS.OPTIONAL.VTAM private source library on the OPTLB1 disk, no need to restore from tapes.
I check the content of the library with the DSERV utility,

John, same here. I ran MVT/VSE at a company in San Antonio called Sigmore. I believe the spooler that it came with was called Sage. We ran it on a 4341 under VM until Diamond Shamrock purchased
