Transfer Invite Failed

Hi,
? I just tried to invite [email protected]?to a yahoo group.? That invite failed. ? ===> Has yahoo groups 'killed' the transfer process? ? The Easy Group Transfer has been temporarily halted for several days due to problems with YG files.? Only in the last couple of days has YG lists been able to forward messages and Digest to list members.? Hopefully they have fixed the YG issues enough to allow transfers to resume. ken "It has always seemed strange to me," said Doc. ¿ªÔÆÌåÓýOur group completely moved out of YG a couple of weeks ago, and we¡¯ve been getting settled into our new home here at Groups.io¡So far no problems. I¡¯m leaving our old YG site up until the end of February, and I left a note on the home page where we moved too. I go to a couple of YG Owner/Moderator forums there just to see what¡¯s up with them, and it¡¯s like you said, one problem fixed and another one pops up. We had our group at YG since 2000, and it worked good for us. Then came along the Neo upgrade, if you could call it that, and we learned to deal with that. Then the Yahoo/Verizon deal came along, and it was down hill after that. It¡¯s to bad that happened, but nothing lasts forever I guess. ? Don FOGgers Owner and Moderator ? Also, sometimes you will get the Yahoo "purple banner of death" even when the invitation went through. Best to attempt to invite two people...one with an address you can check afterward. Sometimes doing a hard refresh (ctrl-F5) beforehand will help it go through, too.
One thing about Y!G...you can never be sure what's going on, and if there's anyone on the other end they seem to spend a lot of time asleep at the switch. Good luck! Bruce |
