PGO Status

Now that Y!G online content is gone, I'd appreciate it if someone would take their registered copy of the PGO application out for a test drive and provide a definitive answer as to what is and is not working. I suspect only the member download still functions, and perhaps not even that.

To the extent that PGO is used as a means to migrate a group to groups.io, its status is very relevant. We have wiki entries that need to be updated on this.

As for incoming messages about how to post to a Yahoo Group, I agree with you.

Bruce,
?
Whilst grabbing the MESSAGES, FILES, PHOTOS or LINKS, PGO reports back this after the deleted content event on Monday? ...
?
"Yahoo servers appear to be offline or your IP has been temporarily locked out."
?
Now, I do believe the data is STILL THERE as YG is allowing folks to still request a DOWNLOAD before the end of January.? Just that the links are gone and not accessible via ACL permissions on the server.
?
And, like you had stated, it will grab the member listing. And more than the YG CSV limit of 1,000.
?
For non-owners and non-moderators, the member listing will only show the user name column and the email column is blank.
?
On one YG I'm a moderator on, the YG Management tool still shows the ability to manage PHOTOS for the albums.? I found this to be weird.? Almost as if YG support team missed something as the PHOTOS are now gone from our access.?

?

May I suggest that the Yahoo related questions have the topics flagged with a hashtag. I am having a hard time finding the forest (GIO issues) for the trees.

Not Registered version, so not answering your question or addressing that data point. However I can report that PGO Trial does find members, all of them, in excess of 1000, on a Y!G I'm "Owner" for (which it wouldn't seemingly do before, why I used/recommended the Chromium Application.)

I swapped Y! accounts a couple of time and verified it would look however could not find File, Photos, or Links.

Of mild interest, when requesting Files it returns a check box in the list choice area, against "root." Which would seem to indicate they have in fact removed either the files or our links (sym links?) to them.

(That begs the Q. have they made more work for themselves to allow account/group associated retrieval up to end Jan? However neither here nor there.)

Re Members retrieval, the Y!G I'm Owner of I received a useful enough two column file (more info via the Chromium Application) and a Y!G I'm a member of, only the subscriber's account name (?) (which sometimes is an e-mail address.)

Cheers, John
