Merge messages to an account

Following the transfer of a rather old Yahoo group to 开云体育, I find myself with messages that are not linked to the user's account. How can I associate these messages with an account?
?
Examples
?
but lot of message with X-Yahoo-Alias or X-Yahoo-Profile don't be rattached
?
X-Yahoo-Alias: manowarplayer
?
X-Yahoo-Group-Post: member; u=7612106; email=no X-Yahoo-Profile: manowarplayer

The only way I've found that connects old posts/messages to a person is for them to join with the original email address.? In many cases, that address is long gone, so no way to do it.

Duane, if someone has access to the old address, can they join with that and then later change their email address to their preferred email address?

That should work.? They should also be able to merge accounts if needed, though that sometimes causes problems.

Merging accounts fails to reassign any old content (messages, files, photos, even group ownership) to the new email address.* Thus I would not recommend that.
