Help with Removal of Email IO Group Links

Shelly Mystic

Hello,

How do I set the emails for my group so that it doesn't show my Group Links in every email:

For example:

Group Email Addresses

Above shows in every email sent. I do not want that to display. I only want that displayed on our Homepage and not in everyone's email.

Please advise.

Thank you.

Mystic

Go to admin, then settings and scroll down to message policies - check the box there that says "remove other reply options" - I think that will do it!!

It's still shows on all emails.

Thanks,
Mystic

There's no way for you to remove that.? It's the standard footer that's included in each email by groups.io.? The only thing you can change is to add to it using the Message Footer box on your Settings page.

That standing footer information is required legally, if I'm not mistaken. Group/list emails (from any place) must include the owner and unsubscribe information. It's required to allow contact with a group owner and to unsubscribe to prevent unwanted direct adds and that sort of thing - regardless of the platform or provider.

Members can do that directly on the home page of the group.

It's just rather annoying on every email because my group is private. And if someone wants to share something that I'm sharing with them, they have to delete all of that prior to sending.

Thanks for your help though.

I come from a Mailman (another popular mailing list) where modification of any template is allowed. ?It's a good model to follow :-).

Just discovered something new!! ?Hopefully this will help you, Mystic - in the settings section, under privacy, if you choose "mask all email addresses in the web archives", it seems to remove all verbiage that you're trying to get rid of. ?This appears instead....at least for me!!!...as clickable links but the individual addresses are gone:

?Groups.io Links:
You receive all messages sent to this group.
