Invite Question
Marcia,
What might a person have done - or not done - if the invite listCould she have more than one email address? One still "Sent" and another that posted to the group? Or does the group allow posting by non-members? Otherwise I'm at a loss for how she posted to the group before accepting the invitation, or how she would think she has but the site thinks otherwise. The other half of the coin is whether she's receiving postings from the group. That even more so should not happen until after she accepts the invite. Is there a way I can change Sent to Accepted?I don't think you can, it should be strictly up to her. If you could that would be tantamount to a Direct Add. Which is something only a Premium or Enterprise group should have. Shal |

i have three members that have accepted their invites, they are in the Members list, yet the Invite list has them as Sent, not Accepted. Our group is by invite only and only members can post. This situation has been mentioned before (Ref:?/g/GroupManagersForum/topic/27398965). The consensus opinion seems to be that the member(s) somehow got approved without clicking on the link in the emailed invitation. A Direct Add could do this...or if you invited some of these folks to your group early on and they subsequently got added via Yahoo transfer, that would also leave the invitations in limbo. So the first question is:? Has your group always used the Restricted method of Spam Control?? Try searching the activity log for join information. The best way I've found to do this is to go to Admin>Activity and enter the subscriber's email address in the Search box. This will return all activity logged for that account (i.e.: not just the activities that the subscriber initiated). Now click on the blue Search button and click on the Created link to sort early entries to the top. If the user was added via transfer, it will say "Support added." Otherwise, check whether the "invited" and "accepted invitation" entries are in proper sequence, and/or whether the subscriber got into the group by some other means.? If you continue to see anomalies, I think we would all be grateful for the results of any testing you might do to chase this down for good.??
