This standard message, that the process instructions say just goes to the YG Owner (me) seems to have gone out to Moderators as well.? As you can imagine in a group with 10 Moderators, most of which are not involved in the transfer, this has caused some chaos.

Have I misread what was supposed to happen?

(This relates to the second group I've helped transfer this month, and it didn't happen for the first one as far as I know).

I believe the message is sent to group-owner@..., so it would have also gone to moderators that receive owner messages.? It went to them on the other group, but there may not have been any moderators set to receive those.

In a Yahoo Group that's all of them. Messages sent to the -owner address are forwarded to all owners and all moderators.

In a Groups.io group that could be all of them, subject to each mod or owner's option. Each may choose to receive all +owner messages, only those from members, or none of them.

I can't see any settings on Yapoo that set that particular aspect.

In Yahoo Groups there isn't any. It isn't optional.
