Transfer

Just got my group approved and intend to transfer my group from yahoogroups to
The instructions say to invite [email protected] to my group to start the transfer.
However a message appears that the email [email protected] is invalid. Thanks for your help.
Dave

Oops. Sorry. I see my mistake.

Dave, are you inviting [email protected] to be a member of your YahooGroup?
That worked for me however many YahooGroups support functions have been
down the last few days, including the membership function yesterday.

I tried the same thing and got the same message, what was the mistake?

I just tried this as well for my group BBFCL to transfer to groups.io and I get the same error message! I'm following the instructions to the letter.

If your YG list won't invite [email protected]?to be a member,? then it is a YG thing, To prevent an exodus?

Since groups.io has temporarily halted YG list transfers, then It may be that groups.io does not want transfer at groups.io
to join any more YG lists.

Consider trying?PG Offline - Download Yahoo Groups, Messages, Files and Photos. to save what you can.
? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ? ??

I suspect you might be able to get partial backups at least;? it seems the problem is with YG files being corrupted
which will stop typical copy and verify backups.

Ken, thanks, but no, I used the groups.io INVITE function - it has nothing to do with YG.

Also, the transfer process has not begun. And I cannot use PG Offline, since the newest
release (compatible with YG) does not run on my operating system. If GIO has halted transfers,
that would explain it.

Tim,

Ken, thanks, but no, I used the groups.io /_INVITE_/ function - it has
nothing to do with YG.
There's your problem.

You're supposed to Invite the transfer agent to your Y!Group. It doesn't need to be a member of your Groups.io group. But it does need moderator privilege in your Y!Group.

Tim, the invite has to come from your YG list...
