Bug or Harmless Anomaly?
This topic is an off - shoot from this thread.
A group Home Page has on it a list of relevant email addresses; the subject of this post is the Post email address, e.g. Post: [email protected].? A Home page also carries a list of Group Settings. However, having spent a little time on a test group I discovered that while the first entry in the Group Settings list for an Announcement-Only group states Only Moderators Can Post (or words to the same effect) the "Post" email address is still shown, even though for anyone other than a moderator that address is inoperative. In my view this is misleading; I am of the opinion that this address should not appear to members of an Announcement-Only group, but only to moderators. Do other members of GMF agree or not? If there is agreement I will transfer the matter to beta to see if Mark can prevent this address being presented to non - moderators of any Announcement-Only group. Chris |
