What's the diff btw 'Subscription Options' and 'Email Delivery' ?

When subscribing to a group, you are presented with a "Subscription Options" radio-box with options such as Individual Messages, Digest, etc. After clicking Save, you are taken to a similar-looking screen labeled "Email Delivery", with exactly the same choices.? But the option selected and saved on the previous screen is not effective (i.e. is different than what is shown in the second screen). Questions: What is the difference between "Subscription Options" and "Email Delivery"?? Which one controls how posts are sent to your email inbox, and what is the other one for? EXAMPLE: Attached are two screenshots, taken before and after I clicked "Save" for the "Subscription Options" dialog reached after first subscribing to the group (beta.groups.io in this case). Notice that in the second screen, "Individual" is pre-selected even though I selected "Daily Digest" for "Subscription Options". ? And yes, I really did click Save! |

Questions: What is the difference between "Subscription Options" andI really don't think there should be a difference. The green circles in your screenshots imply that you had to go back and recreate the scenario, which I get. It could be that your first action as a beta member should be to report this apparent glitch in the join flow as a bug, together with details about the steps you took to get there. That is, there is more than one way to subscribe to a group and the details probably matter. Did you click Join on the beta home page? Or did you send a -subscribe email command and click through from a link in an email response? Were you already logged in to Groups.io when you did that? Of the two, I'd believe the actual Subscription page, but only after refreshing it at least once. I'm not sure why you were shown first one then the other in sequence, and especially why the Subscription wasn't pre-set by the Join landing page.
