Poll question

I am the Owner of a group and obviously, by default, a Moderator. ?Having created a poll (still current, with responses to date!) my fellow Moderator wished to view the results but isn¡¯t able to.

is this to be expected or what should I do to enable her to see who voted?

A moderator should be able to view the results, I think.

There are additional options at the foot of the poll creation page:

  • Only moderators and poll creators can view results and responders, regardless of whether the poll is open or closed.
  • Only display results when the poll has closed. Moderators and poll creators can always view results.
  • Do not show who responded to the poll.

Many thanks Frances,

Been there and done it but she says she¡¯s still unable to see any results in the (current) poll.

Has she got more than one membership of the group, i.e. one as a Moderator and the other as an ordinary member?

If she has, then perhaps she has logged in with the "member" account.

Chris

I have a similar problem.? A poll is set up as follows but the groups moderators are not able to see the results. Only the owner can. Am i missing something?

Are your (Message) Archives public? If they are then anyone looking at the relevant "item" will see that it is a poll, but will not see any results unless they are (a) moderators, and (b) logged in. Is it possible that your other moderators are not logging in before trying to view the poll results?

Chris

Yes the messages are public. I just created a new member with Moderator privileges and that user can not see the poll results as my other moderators are reporting.
There must be a setting i am missing. Would like to share the results of the poll with my moderators.

The answer is.... you must give the moderator permission to "Edit Archives" then they can see the results of a poll that only allow moderators and owners to see the results.

Case closed...
