First off a huge thank you to all behind groups.io as I am sure you are getting slammed with transfer requests like crazy. I do not want to add to the logjam if possible so I want to do a sanity check here.

I have a small group that I want to transfer from Yahoo.

--- I made a new group here on groups.io
--- I upgraded to premium.
--- I went back to Yahoo and invited [email protected] to join the group.

My question - if things are correct, will they automatically accept the invite or is that where it is a manual process of waiting a few days for acceptance by a human comes in? I totally get it taking them a few days to work through the queue and I am fine with waiting there as long as that is where the first wait is. (I just don't trust Yahoo that the invite went out.)

I appreciate whomever posted where to check the transfer status too, even though I know we won't show there yet.

Thank you.

Thank you for clarifying the mess up was on my end. I must have fixed it because now I can see, from the pull down menu, that I have one transfer in process and when I click my group I receive the message that you my invite has been received and will be accepted soon. Now I can wait easily.

Thank you Duane and to everyone who is making this transition as easy as possible for people. I know it is a lot of stress on all of you and answering the same questions over and over again. I appreciate it.

Susan

OK so I had to click on "Start Group Transfer Process" to get to the next page before sending the invitation.

From Bruce's detailed instructions:

7.?Return to the bookmarked page (/yahootransfer). Click on the big green button at the bottom that says "Set Up New Transfer."

8. Enter the name of your Yahoo group and the name of your groups.io group in their respective boxes. Do NOT enter any domain information (i.e.: leave off @yahoogroups.com or @yahoogroups.co.uk), just the group names.
Click the big green "Start Group Transfer Process" button at the bottom of the page.?
(You have now completed Step 2 of the instructions)
?
9. Go to your YAHOO GROUP (not your groups.io group) and log in. Send a membership invitation to "[email protected]". If you've never done this before, instructions can be found at
