I want to change the email addy to read

instead it has main@...
Have 2 sub groups

The subgroups are the reason for the subdomain format.

Could someone assist me please as to how to change this

You can easily change "main" to a name of your choosing. That's right at the top of your group's Settings page.

But you can't eliminate the part to the right of the @ without eliminating the subgroups. It is that part that ties the primary group and the subgroups together.

As Shal mentioned, the subdomain addressing is an artifact of subgroups. However, any EMAIL posted to groupname(at)groups(dot)io should still go to the main group.

In short, it should still work. Try it.
