Because there is no reason to continue on at the $110 plan that I can see or am I missing something?Well, there are some advantages to the Premium plan which you might or might not find useful. For example, you can track removed users, ban domains, track RSVPs for events, and take donations. /static/pricing It really depends on your use. More storage on Premium is a benefit I see, 10GB vs 1GB k On Sat, Oct 19, 2019 at 2:15 PM Frances <frances@...> wrote: Because there is no reason to continue on at the $110 plan that I can see or am I missing something?Well, there are some advantages to the Premium plan which you might or might not find useful. --

I¡¯m debating about the donation thing. I funded our 4700-member-strong group (in existence for 10 years) out of my own pocket and people are randomly sending me PayPal payments to offset it. I also have a single nonprofit that has said that his group would bankroll the whole thing going forward.? I figure I¡¯ll let the dust of the transfer settle and then I have a year to make up my mind what to do next.? Thank you Frances. It looks like once I get on the premium plan, we can take it out for a test drive and see how it fits us all. If we like all the additions, other members have offered to pitch in to contribute so I would not have to pay anything. It is a Mexican chat list with over 10,000 members. It is rather exciting to start this new chapter. Tracking RSVP's would be neat because there are many functions people forget about. Time will tell! Susan

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýIf you don¡¯t need the features offered by the premium subscription, you can return to the basic after a year.I know this will be unpopular, but here¡¯s my take after my transfer from Y!G a few days ago: I¡¯m so happy with ?(SO much better than Yahoo Groups) that I may very well stay on the premium plan next year to help fund the site, to do my part to help ensure it sticks around. I¡¯m willing to pay for good products, and running ?isn¡¯t something that comes free.? Jeri

I agree Rich. I thought it was just the initial cost of moving members and information over. I didn't understand the perks of staying premium. Makes sense, or maybe cents now. <grin>

¿ªÔÆÌåÓýBefore I transferred my group in 2018, I briefly thought about the money I was going to have to pay out of my own pocket. Yahoo had spoiled the owners of groups by offering large amounts of storage, and decent functionality for free. Then the Neo upgrade came along, and it was downhill from there for Yahoo Groups. When I finally came to the conclusion the Yahoo Groups platform was falling apart, and worried I could lose my group altogether, the only thing that was important to me was finding another place I could move my group too. It had to be someplace that offered what I had gotten to need on Yahoo, like archived posts, databases, photo albums, etc., but I didn¡¯t find that to be an easy task. After I found out about Groups.io, and what it offered, I jumped on moving my group almost immediately. I knew I was going to be paying $10.00 a month for what I got for free before, but I realized those days of free are gone, and if I want to save my group from a certain demise I needed to pay. Thinking about the $10.00 per month I was going to be paying out, it hit me I can spend that much money easily going out for coffee in a week, and that surely would never break the bank for me. I thought myself what is more important to me, saving the group or coffee. It was a no brainer for me, the group won out. Members have offered to pay me to offset my personal costs, but I don¡¯t really need the help, and I enjoy my group¡It¡¯s like a hobby. Now, if I was paying $200.00 per month for the Enterprise plan that would be a much different matter. ? Don ? From: [email protected] <[email protected]> On Behalf Of rich hurd ?
